ที่มา:KASETSART UNIVERSITY FISHERIES RESEARCH BULLETINหัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Fecundity Relationship, Maturity Size and Spawning Season of Shark Catfish Helicophagus waandersii Bleeker, 1858 in the Mun River, Thailand) สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractA 48 shark catfish Helicophagus waandersii from the Mun River, Thailand was monthly sampled in 19 consecutive months (June 2003 - December 2004) for studying in fecundity relationship, maturity size and spawning season. The fecundity ranged from 21,547 to 191,539 eggs which the average was 85,174?43,206 eggs fish" . The maximum fecundity belonged to a fish with 54.2 cm in total length (TL) and 1,067 g in body weight (BW) whereas the minimum fecundity belonged to a fish with 36.0 cm and 290 g. Fecundity increased with the increase of length and weight. The regression equations of fecundity (F) on total length (TL) and body weight (BW) were log F = 0.8445+2.4518 log TL (r=0.67) and log F = 2.8492+0.7308 log BW (r=0.7), respectively. The length at 50% maturity was estimated using frequency of occurrence of matured female was 42.01 cm which gave the expected fecundity as 66,933 eggs. Maximum GS1 was in June and the minimum GSI was in November. Shark catfish was a group-synchronous spawner with a short spawning season during the rainy season from May to July. Shark catfish started moving from the Mekong mainstream since January and developed the eggs in the Mun River. After spawning, parental stock moved back to deep pools in the Mekong mainstream whereas the juvenile moved farther to the upstream floodplain for nursing and feeding purposes. Then it moved backward and joins with adult stock in September. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Comparative Study of Artificial Diet and Soybean Leaves on Growth, Development and Fecundity of Beet Armyworm, Spodoptera exigua (Hubner) (Lepidoptera : Noctuidae)) ผู้เขียน: Md. Abdullah, Ouab Sarnthoy, ดร.สุดาวรรณ เชยชมศรี สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractAn artificial diet and soybean leaves were used in rearing the larvae of beet armyworm, Spodoptera exigua (Hubner) (Lepidoptera : Noctuidae) in laboratory condition. The artificial diet was composed of soaked mungbean, baking yeast, methyl paraben, sorbic acid, ascorbic acid, casein, choline chloride, agar, vitamin, formalin and distilled water. Survival of larvae on artificial diet (96.67%) was higher than those reared on soybean leaf (63.64%). Weight of larvae and pupae reared on artificial diet were significantly higher than those of the larvae and pupae fed with soybean leaves. The larval and pupal periods of those fed with artificial diet were 15.7 ? 0.84 and 6.73 ? 0.51 days respectively, whereas, those fed with soybean leaf were 18.65 ? 0.83 and 8.5 ? 0.52 days respectively. The average number of eggs laid was 577.9, when the larvae were reared on artificial diet. However, it was 472.5 when the larvae were reared with soybean leaf. The female and male life spans were 14.6 and 11.4 days on artificial diet and were 13.1 and 10.2 days with soybean leaf. Without feeding, the adult showed a life span of 6.29 ? 1.42 and 5.3 ? 0.66 days in artificial diet and soybean leaf respectively. Three consecutive generations were reared on artificial diet. Pupal ratio from larvae was found closer among the generations. The sex ratio was more or less similar in the first and second generations but in the third generation males number increased considerably (1:1.72). |

ทิพย์วดี อรรถธรรม, ศาสตราจารย์ , Poonpili Suwanarit สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstract The results of the bioassay study indicated that the median lethal dose (LD50) of the nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV) of the American bollworm, Heliothis armigera (Hubner), was 1.94 x 10? PIBs/larva and the sublethal dose was 5.187 PIBs/larva. There was no significant difference between those worms infected with a sublethal dose and the healthy control group in terms of larval age, pupal age, and pupal and adult weight. However, there was a significant difference among the two groups at the adult stage. Pupa an adults infected with a sublethal dose of the NPV were shown to be morphologically similar in shape and size to those of the control group. However, it was found that with a sublethal dose pupation decreased by 20% and adult male and female emergence decreased by 38% and 29% respectively. The male and female ratio of pupa and adult of those infected with a sublethal dose and the healthy control group were similar. The sublethal dose of the NPV had considerable effects on the progeny of the American bollworm. It was found that the number of eggs per female decreased 60.13%, egg hatching decreased 33%, and egg interval decreased from 2.60-5.00 to 2.40-3.80 days. In addition, this virus can be transmitted to the progeny 54.54% of the time. The results suggest that a low dosage of NPV had significant effects on the American bollworm and their progeny. These effects are very important in determining the value of this virus as a microbial control agent of H. armigera. |
