หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Influence of Plastic Roof on Fruit Quality and Yield of ‘Beauty Seedless’ Grape During Dry and Rainy Seasons) ผู้เขียน:Ganesh KUMAR SHRESTHA, ดร.สุรศักดิ์ นิลนนท์, ศาสตราจารย์, ดร.ลพ ภวภูตานนท์, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์, ดร.นิรันดร์ จันทวงศ์, รองศาสตราจารย์, Choopong Sukumalandana สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractA study on the influence of plastic roof applied from pruning to harvest, pruning to color change and flowering to color change on fruit quality, total nonstructural carbohydrate in shoot, yield, cost and returns of ‘Beauty Seedless’ grape was conducted in the Northern Thailand during dry and rainy seasons. The results showed that the vines growing under plastic roof from pruning to color change stage produced high cluster weight, number of clusters, yield and profit during both dry and rainy seasons. Moreover, the berry size and berry weight were increased and the percent of yield loss was decreased and no disease score was found during the dry season. The vines growing under plastic roof from pruning to harvest stage gave an increase in total anthocyanin content and tended to contain no disease score during the dry season. Similar trend was found in an increase in berry size, berry weight and total soluble solids and a decrease in disease score, titratable acidity and the percent of yield loss during the rainy season. No differences on the total non-structural carbohydrate content in shoot of the vines during both dry and rainy seasons were found among the treatments. The treatments applied plastic roof on vines gave higher profit than the control in both seasons. However, the control gave a marginal net profit in the dry season and a profit loss remained in the rainy season. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Influence of Plant Growth Regulators on Morphological, Floral and Yield Traits of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)) ผู้เขียน:Mukesh Thappa, Satesh Kumar, Romisa Rafiq สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe possibility was examined of altering the plant frame and inducing femaleness at early stages in the development of cucumber for productivity enhancement and early development using various plant growth regulators at the Vegetable Experimental Farm, Division of Vegetable Science and Floriculture, S.K. University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, India during the springsummer season of 2009. Three plant growth regulators were sprayed onto plants at the two-, four- and six-leaf and full-bloom stage using the cucumber variety Cucumber Long Green. Two of the growth regulators, maleic hydrazide and ethephon, were each applied at two different concentrations of 100 and 200 ppm and the third, naphthalene acetic acid, was applied at 50 and 100 ppm, and some combined applications of growth regulators were also tested. The experiment comprised 15 treatments and was laid out in a randomized block design with three replications. The results revealed that the influence of the plant growth regulators was variable on the morphological traits of cucumber but the floral and yield traits were significantly affected by a combined application of 100 ppm maleic hydrazide and 100 ppm ethephon. This treatment induced early development, maximized the sex ratio with regard to yield and was comparatively helpful in reducing plant expansion. This treatment also produced the best economic results for the production of cucumber. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Genetic Analysis of some Important Seed Yield Related Traits in Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.)) ผู้เขียน:Md. Golam Mostofa, Lutfur Rahman, Ranjit Kumar Ghosh สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractGenetic analyses for the days to first flowering, the number of fruits per plant, the number of seeds per fruit and the 1,000 seed-weight were carried out using six-parents half diallel crosses in kenaf to determine the inheritance pattern and genetic behavior of these characters. Hayman’s analysis of variance and components of variations related to gene actions indicated the involvement of both additive and dominance effects for all the traits, but the value of additive (D) and dominance (H1) of (H1/D)? indicated predominant additive effects for the days to first flowering (0.91) and 1,000 seed-weight (0.81), while there were dominance effects for the number of fruits per plant (28.35) and the number of seeds per fruit (2.58). Variance and covariance graphs revealed a partial dominance for all the traits except the number of seeds per fruit which showed over-dominance. Parents Acc.5030, Acc.4197 and Acc.2922 possessed the most recessive genes, while parents Acc.4659 and Acc.2731 had maximum dominant alleles for all the studied traits. The value of heritability in the narrow sense (h2 ns) was comparatively high for the days to first flowering (0.59) and 1,000 seed-weight (0.56), but it was low for the number of seeds per fruit (0.09) and the number of fruits per plant (0.01). Therefore, the improvement of seed yield can be enhanced through pedigree selection considering the desired traits in the early or segregating generation based on appropriate parents in the breeding program. |
