Therefore, the present research aimed at developing an instant beverage for diabetic patients that provides energy and nutrients appropriate for their needs. A survey of patient’s need for healthy instant beverages revealed that they preferred products that had a natural color and fl avor and a sweet taste, were packed in an aluminum foil sachet and were priced at 7 to 10 baht (USD 1 ? 32 baht). Linear programming was employed to formulate the product to obtain the optimum nutrient content and minimize the cost. The optimum formulation of instant beverage for diabetic patients consisted of 35% predigested jasmine brown rice powder, 16% Job’s tears powder, 29.55% full fat milk powder, 13.10% nondairy creamer, 1.3% cocoa powder, 0.05% sucralose, 3.50% erythritol and 1.55% premixed vitamins. A serving of beverage was prepared by mixing powder (35 g) with hot water (140 mL), which yielded protein (5 g), fat (4 g), carbohydrate (22 g) and energy (150 kcal). The cost of a serving of 35 g was 11 baht. The acceptability test showed that almost all of the diabetic patients (99%) accepted the product and 93% of them intended to purchase this product. |

It is found that transgender identity is constructed through several devices: the narratives about social violence against the transgender and their identity development, the exploitation of medical and religious discourses to contest with mainstream discourse which stigmatizes transgenderism as a disease. Furthermore, the author exercises the politics of representation to reconstruct transgenderism through literary devices. In the novel, characterization and plotting shaped in opposition to convention of mainstream and malestream literature. The text affirms that the chosen ?third pathway? of the transgender can sharply demythologize heterosexual normativity, gender-oriented society, and patriarchal hegemony. |

An organoleptic test was conducted on these products. The panelist found that the Job’s tears juice at the ratio of Job’s tears grains to water, 1:15 had good stability and was slightly viscous. For Khanom-Ping that composing of job’s tears flour and tapioca flour in the ratio of 20:80 was good puffing, fine grain and light brown color. Sesame-Ball at the ratio of job’s tears flour to wheat flour, 80:20 gave a little crack on top, had golden brown crust and slightly absorbed oil. The nutritional value of each product showed that the job’s tears juice contained 0.19% protein and 0.07% fat. Khanom-Ping had 2.81% protein and 16.98% fat. Sesame-Ball had 9.84% and 24.16% fat.
