This prize is awarded annually to the research student who, by thesis presentation, has given the most outstanding performance in the field of automotive engineering or a related subject. Founded in 1974, in memory of Jim Overton, PhD (Birmingham) who, with his wife, was killed in the aircraft disaster, Ermenouville, 1974.
