All four varieties had similar yields at the same harvesting period but the yields were increased by the increasing of cassava ages. The starch contents mainly depended on varieties and harvesting period. Rayong 90 and Kasetsart 50 contained higher amount of starch than in Rayong 1 and Rayong 60 and the root which was harvested in the dry season contained higher amount of starch than these in the rainy season. Although the viscosities of starch which extracted from vary varieties were not significantly different but the dry season harvested starch viscosity was higher than these obtained from the rainy season. |
