หัวเรื่อง:การศึกษาการปนเปื้อนของเชื้อซัลโมเนลลาในผลิตภัณฑ์จากเนื้อไก่และเนื้อหมู ผู้เขียน: นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ , Nopharat Marnrim, Srirat Pornruangwong, Aroon Bangtrakulnonth สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstract Two hundred samples of chicken meat and pork products such as meat balls and sausages from supermarkets and retail markets were studied for isolation of Salmonella using Modified Semisolid Rappaport Vassiliadis (MSRV) and standard Conventional Method (SCM). It was found that total of 32 samples (16%) were contaminated and 8 samples (8%) of chicken meat products while 24 simples (24%) of pork products were contaminated. When we pointed the places of samples, 24 samples (18.09%) from supermarkets and 8 samples (10.96%) from retail markets were contaminated. The most contaminated product was nham from chicken meat and pork. Moreover 3 samples of pork products containing 2 serovars were proved by MSRV method. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Prevalence of Flavobacterium psychrophilum Infection in Ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) in Gunma Prefecture, Japan and Comparison of the gyr B Sequences of Isolates) ผู้เขียน: Hajime Arai, Yukio Morita, Kunihiro Nobusawa, Masanao Arai, นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ , Hirokazu Kimura สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe prevalence of cold-water disease (CWD) in ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) caused by Flavobacterium psychrophilum was investigated in 3 different sites along the Tone River in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. F. psychrophilum was isolated from 7 of 8 fishes from site A (88%), 15 of 101 from site B (15%), and 3 of 8 from site C (38%). The gene encoding DNA gyrase subunit B (gyrB) of F. psychrophilum in 16 isolates was partially sequenced. Among the 16 strains, 15 strains had gene sequences that completely matched those of a species type strain (NCIMB1947T). Another strain confirmed one nucleotide substitution, however, the codon resulting from this substitution was synonymous with that in the type strain sequence. The results suggested that CWD was widespread in the Tone River of Gunma Prefecture, with little genetic divergence from the species type strain. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Salmonella Prevalence in Slaughtered Buffaloes and Cattle in Champasak Province, Lao People’s Democratic Republic) ผู้เขียน: Thongsay Sychanh, ดร.สุเจตน์ ชื่นชม, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ , Chaiwat Pulsrikarn, Srirat Pornreongwong, Patharaphorn Chaichana, นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThis is the fi rst local study of Salmonella prevalence in slaughtered buffaloes and cattle in Champasak province, Lao PDR. In total, 269 animals (225 buffaloes and 44 cattle) were examined for the presence of Salmonella in mesenteric lymph nodes, caecum, abdominal and diaphragmatic muscles. The proportion of slaughtered buffaloes and cattle identifi ed as positive for Salmonella was 6.69%, with 7.11% in buffaloes and 4.54% in cattle. The highest proportion was identifi ed in the Houayset (9.67%), followed by the Nasaykham (6.25%) abattoir, and the lowest proportion was found in the KhanGneng abattoir (5.37%). No Salmonella was found in the Houayphek abattoir. Only 3.25% (22 of 676) of all samples collected were identifi ed as contaminated with Salmonella. Out of 22 isolates, four serotypes and three untypable Salmonella-attributed to serogroups B, C and E, were identifi ed. S. Weltevreden accounted for 45.45% (10 of 22) of the total isolates, followed by S. Brunei 22.72% (5 of 22) and S. 8,20:-:- 13.63% (3 of 22), while a similar level of 4.54% was found for S. Typhimurium, S. Bovismorbifi cans, S. 4.5.12:b:- and S. 8,20:y:- . The results indicated that slaughtered buffaloes and cattle sampled in this study served as sources of Salmonella in humans. Hence, slaughterhouse surveillance of Salmonella and other food-borne diseases is needed in order to prevent Salmonella from reaching foodstuffs meant for human consumption. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Comparison of Plasmid Profiles and Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns of S. enteritidis Isolates in Thailand) ผู้เขียน: นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ , Wichai Suphasindhu, Benjamas Intarasri, Aroon Bangtrakulnonth สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractTwo hundred isolates of S. enteritidis from human and chicken meat in Thailand between 1990 and 1997 were studied for antimicrobial susceptibility using disk diffusion method. The results showed that 40% of the isolates from both human and chicken meat were susceptible to all 10 antimicrobial agents, on the other hand 44-50% of the isolates from human and chicken meat were resistant to cefotaxime (CTX). Only 40% of the isolates from both susceptible group and CTX resistant group were sampled to analyse for plasmid using modified method of Kado and Liu. Most isolates contained a single 55 kilobases (kb) plasmid. Our study revealed that even the isolates from human and from chicken meat had different antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, they contained the same size of plasmid which indicated a close correlation between isolates and were derived from the same source. |
