หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Effect of Forage Sorghum on Milk Production) ผู้เขียน:ดร.สมเกียรติ ประสานพานิช, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.จำเริญ เที่ยงธรรม, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.สายัณห์ ทัดศรี, ศาสตราจารย์, Soar Siwichai, Theerayuth Juntanam สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe effect of forage sorghum on dairy production was studied, using eight multiparous midlactating Holstein-Friesian crossbred cows, based on days in milk, lactation number and milk yield. They were divided into two treatments using a group comparison, with four animals in each group. Animals in Group 1 were provided with fresh sole forage sorghum, at 60 d defoliation after planting, and in Group 2 were fed fresh forage sorghum with lablab legumes at the same age as in Group 1. All cows were also supplemented with 45-50% of total daily dry matter intake with meal concentrate of 17.39% CP, twice daily at milking times of 05:00 and 15:00. The results revealed that cows fed fresh forage sorghum mixed with lablab legumes had significantly higher roughage daily dry matter intake, total daily dry matter intake, %BW of total daily roughage dry matter intake and %BW of total daily dry matter intake than Group 2 (P<0.05). The actual milk yield and 4% fat corrected milk, milk composition, blood glucose and blood urea nitrogen in the morning and afternoon feeding in both treatments were not significantly different. However, this study suggested that the higher nutritive value of forage sorghum intercropped with forage legume could increase dairy production. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Milk Production with a Particular Reference to Milk Essential Fatty Acids of Lactating Cows under Grazing and Indoor Feeding Conditions) ผู้เขียน:Ratchanee Bourapa, Sayan Tudri, ดร.จำเริญ เที่ยงธรรม, รองศาสตราจารย์, Somchai Anusoenponpue, Soar Siwichai, ดร.สมเกียรติ ประสานพานิช, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractAn experiment was conducted to study the milk quality of dairy cattle under conditions of group grazing and loose housing on high quality forage intake. Eight crossbred cows (93% Holstein and 7% Bos indicus) all in their second to fourth lactation and at 100–120 d in the mid-late period of lactation were divided equally into two groups of four cows each under a pair comparison design. The first group was allowed free grazing on pasture consisting mainly of Guinea grass using a rotational grazing procedure. The second group was kept in a shaded cow shed and fed cut-and-carried pasture from an equal-sized area of the same pasture grazed by the first group. Both groups were supplemented with Leucaena leucocephala at 3%, based on the intake requirement for body weight maintenance and milk production for the 45 d experiment. The daily milk yield was recorded throughout the experiment and weekly milk sampling was evaluated for composition. A composite sample of morning and evening milk was analyzed for the percentages of milk fat, protein and lactose, solid not fat (SNF) and essential milk fatty acids—linoleic acid (C18:2n-6; Omega 6), linolenic acid (C18:3n-3; Omega 3) and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) contents (grams per 100 g of fat) were also analyzed. The results showed that the milk yields, the percentages of milk fat, protein and SNF, and the contents of linolenic acid (C18:3 n-3) and CLA were not significantly different between treatments. However, the lactose percentage and the content of linoleic acid (C18:2 n-6) were significantly different (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05, respectively). The outdoor grazing system significantly increased the higher milk content of linoleic acid. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Effect on Milk Production in Thailand of Silage from Forage Sorghum and Forage Sorghum with Lablab purpureus) ผู้เขียน:ธีระยุทธ จันทะนาม, ดร. สมเกียรติ ประสานพานิช, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe experiment was designed to determine the quality of silage from forage sorghum and from forage sorghum mixed with lablab legume on dairy production, using eight multi-parous mid-lactating Holstein-Friesian crossbred cows, based on days in milk, lactation number and previous milk yield. The cows were divided into two treatments using a pair comparison, with four animals in each group. Animals in group 1 were provided with forage sorghum silage while those in group 2 were fed silage from forage sorghum mixed with lablab legume. All cows were also individually fed a commercial meal concentrate of 89.01% dry matter and 19.46% CP, twice daily at milking times of 0500 and 1500 hours. The results revealed that fresh yields of forage sorghum and forage sorghum intercropped with lablab legume were 1,319 and 1,374 kg.ha-1, respectively. However, the better nutritive values of forage sorghum with lablab legumes were found to produce higher values of % body weight change, total daily dry matter intake, actual milk yield, 4% fat corrected milk, blood glucose and blood urea nitrogen but they were not signifi cantly different. However, the higher nutritive values of forage sorghum mixed with forage legume can possibly increase dairy production. |
