หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Youth Supervision Based on Islam Provided by Muslim Leaders in Southern Thailand) ผู้เขียน: Kasetchai Laeheem, Abdullohmalik Madreh สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstracton Islam by Muslim leaders in three southern border provinces of Thailand. In-depth interviews were undertaken with principal informants: six Muslim leaders, six youth leaders, and six Muslim academics. Expansion description was employed to analyze the data. The results showed that in each community, Muslim leaders played a principal role in supervising youth based on Islamic belief by using different methods depending on the surrounding situations and individual ability. Supervisory budget sources were donation money, Zakat grants, and an endorsement budget from state organizations. However, there were four major problems which caused inefficiency in youth supervision: lack of understanding and definition of the roles and duties of some Muslim leaders, unawareness of the importance of youth supervision, skill and experience deficiencies in youth supervision, and a limited relationship between Muslim leaders and youth groups. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Optimal Rotation Interval of Akashmoni (Acacia auriculiformis) Plantations in Bangladesh) ผู้เขียน: Sheikh Sirajul Islam, Mohammed Syedul Islam, Md. Abu Taher Hossain, Zahirul Alam สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe rotation interval for akashmoni (Acacia auriculiformis) plantations in Bangladesh is discussed for fuel wood and timber under strip plantation, woodlot, and community forest management systems. The rotation interval was calculated on the basis of the market price, the market mechanism, and the costs and returns of akashmoni plantations during 2000–2001. Considering the present management system, the mode of marketing, the market mechanism, and all economic criteria, the rotation interval of akashmoni species may be fixed at 8 years for fuel wood and 13–15 years for timber. The average market price of round wood and fuel wood was US $147.24 per m3 and US $0.72 per md (1 md = 37.3261 kg), respectively. The elimination rate varied from 5 to 90 percent depending on the plantation, the year, and the location, with values of 5 percent in the areas of Dinajpur, Bogra, and Dhaka and more than 50 percent in Tangail and Jessore. If the Net Present Value is considered as the rotation criterion, the rotation interval may be prescribed at age 15 years for timber. If the Internal Rate of Return and the Land Expectation Value are considered, the rotation interval may be fixed at 13 years for timber. Considering available data from plantations aged between 5 and 17 years, the recommended optimum rotation interval for timber and fuel wood was 15 and 8 years, respectively. At 15 years, the plantation was mature for timber use while fuel wood was a priority at 8 years as it was not necessary to use mature plantation wood. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Factors affecting the scholastic achievement of Prince of Songkla University students from private schools with Islam instruction in the three southern border provinces) ผู้เขียน: Chidchanok Churngchow, Withada Sinprajukpol สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe objective of this research was to study the factors affecting the scholastic achievement of Prince of Songkla University (PSU) students who came from private schools with Islam instruction in the three southern border provinces as well as an approach for quality development for the students of the above-mentioned schools toward a higher level of university scholastic achievement. The sample consisted of 918 students who had completed upper secondary education from the private schools with Islam instruction and six administrators of the schools as stated who rendered data by interview. From the discriminant analysis, only one discriminant variate best capable of discriminating university scholastic achievement was labeled as “reinforcement teaching”, which bore a high level of correlation to remedial-teaching and O-Net scores variables. From interviews with school administrators, the schools needed the government to render more support in the matter of scholarships and to provide for academic development in the form of academic coaching or participation in academic workshops under the care of teachers with area expertise. The research suggested: the government should subsidize all secular fields as well as the field of religion, and the Ministry of Education should render additional academic support by the provision of expert teachers for extra teaching in the form of reinforcement teaching or academic coaching, particularly for small schools. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Relationship between Carbon Sequestration and Physico-chemical Properties of Soils in Salt-affected Areas, Northeast Thailand) ผู้เขียน: Kazi Kaimul Islam, ดร.สมชัย อนุสนธิ์พรเพิ่ม, รองศาสตราจารย์ , นายเอิบ เขียวรื่นรมณ์, ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ , ดร.ศุภิฌา ธนะจิตต์, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractVariation of soil organic carbon as a result of differences in soil physico-chemical properties under natural and agricultural land use systems is of signifi cance for understanding and determining soil organic carbon sequestration (SOCseq). For the objectives of investigating Cseq and its relationship with different physical and chemical soil properties and high concentrations of Na+ salts, this study was carried out in sandy-natured soil areas with salt-contaminated soil distributing in the lower areas of Ban Nong Suang in Kham Thale Sor district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeast Thailand. Soil samples were collected for laboratory analysis at four different depths of 0–15, 15–30, 30–45 and 45–60 cm. Three transects (tran-1, tran-2 and tran-3) were chosen, each comprising six mini soil pits located from the upper to the lower part of the transect. Most soils had loamy sand to sandy loam texture, being composed of very low amounts of organic carbon (OC), total N, available P and K in association with high bulk density, low pH and low cation exchange capacity. Some of the soils studied had sodic and saline sodic features with extremely high pH, electrical conductivity, sodium adsorption ratio, exchangeable sodium percentage and base saturation percentage. The percentage of silt+clay had a positive correlation with carbon sequestration (Cseq), whereas bulk density had a signifi cant negative correlation. Total N and available P were highly signifi cantly and signifi cantly positively correlated, respectively, with Cseq, while pH and other exchange properties were negatively correlated. A high concentration of Na+ caused a highly signifi cant depletion of OC in soils, creating extremely hazardous conditions in crop production, especially in low-lying areas of this undulating terrain. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Response of Vegetables to NPK Briquette Deep Placement) ผู้เขียน: Apurba Kanti Choudhury, Md. Jalal Uddin Sarker, Md. Harunur Rashid, Md. Mamunur Rashid Sarker, Md. Shahduzzaman, Md. Sirajul Islam, H. M. Khairul Bashar สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe performance was evaluated during April to November, 2012 of the deep placement of NPK fertilizer briquettes compared with broadcast incorporation of N, P, and K, with each treatment supplying S, Zn and B fertilizers as a blanket dose, for vegetables like cucumber, taro and bitter gourd. The experiments were conducted under on-station and on-farm conditions in three locations in Bangladesh: at Jessore for cucumber, at Patuakhali for bitter gourd and for taro at Mymensingh (only on-farm) and at Jessore (only on-station). Six treatments were designed to evaluate the crop responses to: the broadcast incorporation of N, P, and K applied as prilled urea (PU), triple super phosphate (TSP), and muriate of potash (MOP); deep placement of urea briquettes and NPK briquettes; native fertility; and general farmer practice. The size of the NPK briquettes and the urea briquettes was 3.4 g and 1.8 g, respectively. The results showed that deep placement of the NPK briquettes gave higher vegetable yields (28.8% for cucumber, 25.6% for taro and 10.8% for bitter gourd) and higher gross margins over broadcast incorporation of N, P, and K. The amount of NPK nutrient uptake and recovery by all three vegetable crops was also higher in the NPK briquette treatment compared to the broadcast treatment with PU, TSP and MOP. |
