 หัวเรื่อง:ความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาและผู้บริหารฝ่ายกิจการนักศึกษา เกี่ยวกับการประชุมเชียร์และการต้อนรับน้องใหม่ของนิสิตนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ขอนแก่น เชียงใหม่ และสงขลานครินทร์ ผู้เขียน:นายสำเนาว์ ขจรศิลป์, ศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstract The purposes of this research were (1) to investigate the methods of cheer meetings and welcoming freshmen students to the University in the present (2) to study the opinions of students and student affairs administrators on the advantages and disadvantages of cheer meetings and welcoming freshmen and (3) to study the opinions of students and student affairs administrators concerning appropriate methods of cheer meetings and welcoming University freshmen students. The study consisted of a sample of 2326 undergraduate students and 102 student affairs administrators from Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, and the Prince of Songkhla University, Hat Yai campus. The instruments used for collection the data were two types of questionnaires. The data were analyzed through SPSSx (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences Version X) to obtain percentages. The major findings included the followings: (1) The students arranged cheer meetings for the freshmen three to four days a week between 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. beginning the first of June and ending in the middle of July. The main purposes of cheer meetings were to train the freshmen to sing college and university songs, to be physically and mentally tough and to pay respect to the upper class students. The methods of cheer meetings included teaching college and university songs to the freshmen, having the freshmen run together, and playing hazing with the freshmen. There were two periods of welcoming for the freshmen, the first one was aimed to help new students get into the university, the second one included the welcoming and celebrating with the freshmen who could pass the six week period of cheer meetings and hazing. Welcoming the freshmen took place both day and night. The day program included various kinds of hazing, while the night program consisted of stage shows and dancing. (2) Most of the students and the administrators agreed that the cheer meetings and welcoming freshmen with hazing and violence had some advantages such as, making the freshmen have a stronger mind, patience, obey and pay respect to the upper class students, and be able to sing college and university songs. The administrators had a tendency to see fewer advantages of violent cheer meetings and welcoming the freshmen than the students. Students from Prince of Songkhla University and a tendency to see less advantages of violent cheer meeting and welcoming the freshmen than the students from the other three universities. Male students had a tendency to see more advantages of violent cheer meeting and welcoming freshmen than female students, while different classes and grade point average groups of students had the same opinions. Most of the students and the administrators agreed that the nonviolent cheer meetings and welcoming freshmen had some advantages such as, making a more harmonious, and warm feeling among the students and receiving information concerning learning and living on campus. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : The Relationships among the Results of the University Entrance Examinations in English, of the English Placement Test and of the Foundation English Achievement Test of Kaset ผู้เขียน:นางกันยารัตน์ เกตุขำ, อาจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstract A study was conducted to determine what relationships, if any, exist between the results of the University Entrance Examination in English (UEE in English) an those of the English Placement Test (EPT) and of the Foundation English Achievement Test (FEAT) of freshmen at Kasetsart University in 1989 and 1990. Findings revealed that there was a high positive correlation both between the results of the UEE in English and those of the EPT and between the UEE in English results and the FEAT results. (r=.84 and r=.87 respectively). However, the study showed that the correlation between the EPT results and those of the FEAT was lower than that between the UEE in English and the FEAT results. In addition, when a multiple regression analysis was used to determine the best predictor of results in the FEAT, the UEE in English was found to be a better predictor than the EPT. |
