Three dogs (1.68%) were found positive to the test, however, the bacterial culture was not done. Bacterial culture was attempted in 6 dogs with history of reproductive failure but negative to 2-ME-RSAT, no Burcella canis organism was detected. Considering the accuracy and sensitivity of the 2-ME-RSAT and the unconclusive figures of previous reports, Brucella canis infection was assumably not responsible for the economic loss due to breeding failure. |
