หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Effect of Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Virus (MYMV) on Yield and Yield Components of Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)) ผู้เขียน: G.S.S. Khattak, M.A. Haq, S.A. Rana, G. Abass, M. Irfag สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractFourteen MYMV susceptible F3 progenies from a cross NM 92 x VC 1560D showed significant differences for MYMV disease infection, yield and yield components. These progenies suffered from 18.5 to 40.5 percent decrease in plant height, 11.7 to 64.0 percent reduction in number of pods per plant, 5.8 to 82.2 percent reduction in seeds per pod, 7.4 to 35.0 percent decrease in pod length, 10.6 to 53.3 percent reduction in 1000 seed weight and 32.2 to 78.6 percent decrease in grain yield per plant. The MYMV incidence showed significant correlation (0.526) with the decrease in 1000 seed weight. The decrease in yield and other yield components showed non significant positive correlation with MYMV incidence. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Genetic Basis of Synchrony in Pod Maturity in Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)) ผู้เขียน: G. S. S. Khattak, M. A. Haq, M. Ashraf, G. R. Tahir สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe inheritance of early flowering, early pod maturity and synchrony in pod maturity was studied in six diverse mungbean genotypes through the diallel crossing design. The genotype NM 92 was the best general combiner for early flowering and early pod maturity, whereas accession ML-5 was the best general combiner for more synchrony in pod maturity. The best specific combination for early flowering and early pod maturity was NM 92 x NM 89 and for highest synchrony in pod maturity was NM 92 x ML-5. The days to first pod and 90% pod maturity, and degree of indetermination from first flower to 90% pod maturity (DDd1) were controlled by both additive and dominance gene effects with predominant effect of additive component. Only additive and dominance gene effects controlled the days to first flower and degree of indetermination from first pod maturity to 90% pod maturity (DDd2), respectively. The high narrow and broad sense heritability for days to first flower, days to first pod maturity and 90% pod maturity revealed more proportion of their genetic variation due to additive gene effects. The selection for synchrony in pod maturity is suggested to be made in advanced generation due to the low narrow sense heritability for degree of indetermination from first flower to 90% pod maturity. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Heterosis for Some Morphological Traits in Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)) ผู้เขียน: G. S, S. Khattak, M. A. Haq, M. Ashraf, G. R. Tahir สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractHeterosis over mid, better and top parent values for some important morphological traits (node of the first pod peduncle, nodes on the main stem, no. of pod clusters on the main stem, average internodal length) were estimated in 15 cross combinations derived from a half diallel involving 6 diverse mungbean genotypes. The low extents of heterosis effects were observed for node of the first pod peduncle and average internodal length in the existing mungbean germplasm. The cross combinations having ML-5 as one of the parent may produce segregates with yield potential through more number of pod clusters on main stem. The hybrid VC 3902A x ML-5, which produced high heterotic effects for nodes on main stem and pod clusters on main stem is suggested for exploitation for developing high yielding mungbean varieties. |
