หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Influence of Photoperiods on Dormancy and Rhizome Formation of Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)) ผู้เขียน:Yama Raj Pandey, นายชัยฤกษ์ สงวนทรัพยากร, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์, นางอรดี สหวัชรินทร์, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.นิพนธ์ ทวีชัย, ศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe effects of photoperiods on dormancy and rhizome formation of ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) were studied, Ginger plantlets produced form tissue culture were transplanted for better establishment and acclimatization under greenhouse and open field conditions. Well established and acclimatized plants were exposed to 8,10,12,14 hours and natural (12.01-11.19 hours) photoperiods during October, 1995 to January, 1996. After adjustment of photoperiods in October, new tillers were continuously produced till January under 14 and 12 hours photoperiods. New tiers were not produced and plants started yellowing and dying in November under 8 hours photoperiod and in December under 10 hours and natural photoperiods. The crop had no dormancy under 14 and 12 hours but entered dormancy under 8,10 hours and natural photoperiods. The highest fresh rhizome yield was produced under 12 hours photoperiod but rhizome yield for seed purpose was highest under 10 hours and natural photoperiods. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Breaking Dormancy in Cucumber (Cucumis sativas L.) Seeds) ผู้เขียน:Panie Temiesagdie, Taikichi Takano, Prateung Donsomprai สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe new harvested cucumber seeds, local varieties often fail to germinate, because of dormancy. It take over 5-6 storage months until dormancy phenomenon disappear. The hot dry air treatment at 60o, 65o, 70o, 75o or 80oC for 1 to 7 days or 90oC for 1 to 24 hours could break that dormancy. Dry heat treatment at 70oC for 3 days obtained the best result. This treatment could up grade in germination from the initial 20% and proved good growing characteristic in either vegetative or generative organs as near as untreated seeds. Further more, soaking cucumber seeds in warm water at 45o, 50o, 50o and 60oC for 20-60 minutes has been done for breaking seed dormancy. Soaking seeds at 60oC for 40 minutes show that results among hot wet treatment, but it still was not better than hot dry air treatment at 70oC for 3 days. |
